The Double Old Fashioned glass is ideal for cocktails made up of large amounts of liquid served on ice, thanks to a larger capacity.

The Double Old Fashioned does hold more liquid than the Single Old Fashioned, though not twice the amount, as the name implies. The glass is used for drinks that may have a slightly lower alcohol content than drinks served in a Single Old Fashioned as they contain larger amounts of non-alcoholic mixers.
